Global Impact Flag Definitions

Entries that have the Global Impact flag checked show on the Find A Doc profile and the Global U Inventory map.

Funding: Funding from outside the U.S. and funding to do work outside the U.S.

Grand Rounds: Conducting Ground Rounds, including tele-presentations, to an audience outside the U.S.

Presentations: Presentations and tele-presentations given about work performed outside the U.S.

Professional Organization Memberships: Membership in professional organizations outside the U.S.

Publications: Publications dealing with work performed outside the U.S.

Research Experience: Research undertaken outside the U.S. Includes data collection in countries outside the U.S. for work done in the U.S.

Research Collaborators: Collaborators who reside outside the U.S.

Research Interests: Designated overall research interests that have a global aspect.

Research Locations: Select the Global Impact flag to enable the ability to pick one or more countries.

Scholastic Honors: Receipt of an award or honor from an organization outside the U.S. or a receipt of an award or honor for global work.

Service: Service performed outside the U.S.

Service, Internal (i.e. University Community Activities): Service through the University of Utah, performed outside the U.S. (e.g. U Asia Campus).

These categories automatically flag an entry as global when anything other than the United States is selected as the country:

Education: Education outside the U.S.

Professional Experience: Professional employment outside the U.S.

Licenses and Certifications: Licenses and certificates held from outside the U.S.
